Ocean High Kitesurfing School’s 2 Day Kitesurfing course ‘Progression’ combines the essential kitesurfing knowledge and skills gained on Day 1 with a second day that introduces students to the board and begins to develop the basic board handling and riding skills.

The kitesurfing lesson takes place at either Marazion or Gwithian, and assists the students to further enhance their kitesurf handling skills learnt on Day 1’s kitesurfing lesson, and provides maximum water time in order to allow them to really get to grips with their first water starts and progress towards the overall goal of riding for short distances. 

Kitesurfing skills learnt during the 5 hours of Day 2 will include...

-Enter and exit the water whilst controlling the kite

-Maintain correct kite position in the wind window

-Balanced body dragging preparing for getting the board on the feet.

-Learn the power stroke for a water-start

-Water-start and ride a short way in both directions

-Controlled stopping

-Deep water Self-Rescue / Pack-down

Some people, if they have had previous kite flying experience will only need a 2 day course before they are ready to get out and practice on their own.  However, many people find that kitesurfing ‘clicks’ on the 3rd day and it all falls into place.  A 3rd day can be ‘bolted’ onto the 2 day course for an additional £100 or you can take advantage of the discount offered if you book the 3 Day course from the outset. Of course if you prefer in-depth one to one or two to one coaching this can also be offered.
