Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) is one of the world’s fastest growing water sports. Over the past few years, it has become huge in the USA and Australia and is now going mainstream in the UK.

SUP is a highly accessible, fun and social way to enjoy sea or inland waters. Almost anyone can do it, whatever your age, skill or fitness level. We’ve had students from 6 to 75 and also people with physical disabilities.

Within just a couple of hours, you will have mastered the basics.

Boards, paddles and rash vests are provided by Ocean High and you will learn using the latest boards from Red Paddle Co. Our courses are run in safe waters off Marazion in west Cornwall as well as the shelter of Penzance harbour and Hayle harbour when conditions dictate. All our instructors are BSUPA qualified and fully insured.

We guarantee you will leave with a smile on your face and a new passion!

Max 6 people per course

In just one hour, we will teach you board safety, assessment of the conditions and location, introduction to the board (without a paddle to start with to get a ‘feel’ for it) and self-recovery techniques. We then add the paddle to the mix and get you up and riding in no time.

By the end of the session, you will almost certainly be able to confidently paddle a board. Above all, you will be having fun and will want to have another go! Boards are then available to hire after your intro course so you can put all you have learned into practice on your own.

The course is run on flat water and successful participants will be presented with a BSUPA Level 1 Ready to Ride Certificate. Also available as a one-to-one course at £50, please contact us to arrange booking.
