Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) is one of the world’s fastest growing water sports. Over the past few years, it has become huge in the USA and Australia and is now going mainstream in the UK.

SUP is a highly accessible, fun and social way to enjoy sea or inland waters. Almost anyone can do it, whatever your age, skill or fitness level. We’ve had students from 6 to 75 and also people with physical disabilities.

Within just a couple of hours, you will have mastered the basics.

Boards, paddles and rash vests are provided by Ocean High and you will learn using the latest boards from Red Paddle Co. Our courses are run in safe waters off Marazion in west Cornwall as well as the shelter of Penzance harbour and Hayle harbour when conditions dictate. All our instructors are BSUPA qualified and fully insured.

We guarantee you will leave with a smile on your face and a new passion!

SUP Taster
Max 6 people per course

In just one hour, we will teach you board safety, assessment of the conditions and location, introduction to the board (without a paddle to start with to get a ‘feel’ for it) and self-recovery techniques. We then add the paddle to the mix and get you up and riding in no time.

By the end of the session, you will almost certainly be able to confidently paddle a board. Above all, you will be having fun and will want to have another go! Boards are then available to hire after your intro course so you can put all you have learned into practice on your own.

  • Assessing conditions and location
  • SUP water safety
  • Self-recovery techniques
  • Introducing the board
  • Basic paddling techniques
BSUPA Ready to Ride

The BSUPA Level 1 “Ready to Ride” two hour course is a little more in depth and aimed at people who have never had a go on a Stand Up Paddleboard before or for people who have tried it but still want to learn more techniques.

Learning to SUP is a fast and fun process with a qualified BSUPA instuctor. The course structure is designed to give you the information you need to get on the water safely, have fun and learn a variety of SUP-paddling techniques.

The course is run on flat water and successful participants will be presented with a BSUPA Level 1 Ready to Ride Certificate. Also available as a one-to-one course at £50, please contact us to arrange booking.

SUP’s just too windy today for SUP club this evening but we are running a Marazion to Perranuthnoe/Cudden Point Paddle bright and early on Saturday at 0830 as it’s forecast to be a stunning day. I can feel dolphins in the air this weekend 😃. Come for a blissful paddle before the craziness of Mazey Day. For those of you that haven’t renewed membership it’s £10 renewal and it’s now free each session for members that have their own board however If you need to use one of ours (if you can’t be bothered to pump yours up 😉) it’s £5 the same as normal club members. ... Hi Lawrence, sorry I haven’t been out this season yet - I’m missing it! We are on the final push for our house build (hopefully moving in during July) and Murray is working all the hours God sends, so it means I can’t leave Immi. 😞 Please post photos if you do see some! X
